SIGNATURE STAMPS |
These are the signature marks that Mikael Carstanjen has used to sign his pottery from 1989-2003. Before 1989 his work was not signed but is still easily recognizable today by the distinct foot rings and unique patterns of decoration. This early work was decorated with a combination of flower and fish scale patterns in six different colors. It was produced from 1970 through 1983. Since that time Mikael has developed and produced his present line called Sea Shell Pottery. The year 2000 marks Mikael's thirtieth year of making pottery. To commemorate this milestone he has designed a special signature stamp with which he will sign all the pottery produced this year.
